We know you are tired of all the points! points! points! programs. What started as a straightforward system of rewarding loyal users with a concrete incentive like tokens, has convoluted into this cycle's worst creation.

However, incentives are still the best way for users to discover your project. It allows us to get feedback, iterate faster, and give back to the community. So, let's go back to basics.

Today, we announce Seasons, Garden's incentive system built to value and celebrate our gardeners.

'Tis the season?

Seasons are month long events (or cohorts) focused on various attributes of trading, offering a dynamic array of incentives and rewards for users. Each Season brings fresh opportunities to climb the ranks on our leaderboard to earn tokens and unlocking progressively more valuable perks.

Here's the rundown:

Perform trades: Every trade earns you a base score, directly tied to the BTC or WBTC traded.

Unlock multipliers: Unique hidden multipliers tied to specific activities, like trade frequency, using certain chains or dApps, random luck-based multipliers, community-based multipliers, and more.

Refer and earn: Share the Garden experience with your friends and earn 10% of their accumulated score.

Rise above the rest: Climb the leaderboard by performing incentivised trades. Higher ranks mean greater rewards, including exclusive NFTs (more on that later) and merch for the top 3 scorers.

Reap the harvest: At the end of each season, convert your score into tokens. These tokens can be staked to earn a share of Garden's revenue, pay fees at discounted rates, participation in governance, and more.

Season 1: Snowman

We hate waiting and you don't have to either. Our winter-themed pilot season, Snowman ☃️ kicks off on Monday, 18th December.

From UTC 12:00 PM on December 18th to UTC 12:00 PM on January 17th, gardeners that trade on Garden qualify for a retroactive token airdrop at the end of Season 1. Airdrop will be based on the score earned in proportion to rest of the gardeners. We'll be sharing details about the airdrop and token soon.

Season 1 features these multipliers:

Early Adopter Multiplier: A 2x multiplier on each trade for everyone who has unlocked the Garden using our unique magic codes before this blog went live. Thank you for your support! ❤️

Random Multiplier: To level the playing field, a fair chance for everyone with random 1x to 7x multipliers for each trade. Consistency matters more than being a big trader!

Referrals: Get 10% of your friends' accumulated score as a referral bonus.
