We are lost for words to explain the craziness of last month. From initially expecting 10-20 BTC in trades to surpassing over 3500(!) BTC, it’s safe to say Season 1 was a success.

Season 1 aka Snowman is now complete. A recap blog is in the works with full details on the winners among other things. Here's a short overview of what Snowman did in numbers:

Now, let's get to the main course! It brings me much excitement to announce that our token, $SEED is live!

As promised, the end of our first season marks the TGE of $SEED. The token has been deployed as an ERC20 token at this address. The first season gets an allocation of 5,000,000 SEED as mentioned in our tokenomics blog.

How to claim your SEED

Every gardener who participated in Season 1 is eligible to claim the SEED token. The exact amount you claim can be seen under Payout in the leaderboard page. Your payout is calculated by dividing your score by the sum of all gardeners' score in the season and then multiplying it with the season's token allocation. Click on the 'Claim SEED' button to open the following dialog box.

Complete our Sybil check by clicking on the Tweet button to post a verification tweet. A check (☑️) mark in the tweet button indicates successful verification. You should be able to claim the tokens to your Ethereum address afterwards. The Uniswap pool is deployed here.

The future of SEED

We are actively working on bringing SEED utilities to the Garden. While we cant't share in-depth details at this stage. Some utilities that are in the works are: being able to use SEED to pay discounted fees in the garden, participate in market making, staking against market makers in a delegated proof of stake (DPoS) model, and also access to exclusive seasons and early features.

This is an important milestone for Garden and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of our gardeners. We built what we felt was a great product but that doesn't mean anything if it doesn't resonate with the people.

If there's one thing that we learnt in the past weeks, it is that we built something really useful and cool here (not our words). And, that confidence came to us from all the words of affirmation, genuine feedback (good and bad alike), and positive energy from our gardeners. That's what is pushing us to give our best.

This is just the beginning. We have a lot in the tank for 2024.
