TL;DR: August was quite a ride for Garden! We wrapped up season 3 and are preparing to head into our next phase, with rewards ready to be claimed from September 13th. We teamed up with PancakeSwap, making SEED available for trading on PancakeSwap, and introduced a new asset on our platform - swBTC. A Garden Improvement Proposal was launched to switch staking rewards from SEED to BTC. Swap limits have increased to 5 BTC per trade and 20 BTC per day. Plus, we will be doing a run with Monad Run Club in Singapore at Gardens by the bay!

This August was all about fueling up for the next act, making notable progress and laying down some exciting groundwork to set the stage for what’s to come.

Garden got selected for a community grant from Polygon to enable the first Bitcoin bridge to their ecosystem!

Big Items

• Act 1 complete: Garden started its journey as a wbtc.cafe replacement and is now heading for something huge! Read the act 1 summary here.
• Collaborations: We teamed up with Swell to introduce BTC <> swBTC swaps on Garden. SEED is now available on PancakeSwap, with $1.2K worth of CAKE rewards available for liquidity providers (LPs).
• Talks: We engaged in an AMA session hosted by Arbitrum in August, where we reflected on Garden’s journey so far. Check it out to catch some alpha!

Seed Update

Technical Updates

• Auto redeem functionality: We are developing an auto-redeem feature for seamless and smooth swapping. It is designed to enhance user experience by reducing the number of clicks and eliminating gas fees. 
• Staking rewards update: We launched a Garden Improvement Proposal to change staking rewards from SEED to BTC, we will move forward based on the outcome of the proposal. 
• Garden SDK: Work is underway on the next version of our SDK to achieve one-click swaps. 

Other Cool Stuff

• Bull-running at Token 2049: To warm up before the conference, we’re hosting a garden run with the molandaks from Monad Run Club 💜 at Gardens by the Bay.
• New swap limits: We increased the swap limits to 5 BTC per trade and 20 BTC per day. 
• Full circle moment: Did you know that Garden was just a hackathon project exactly a year ago? It’s so wholesome to look back at what we’ve achieved over the past year.
• Season 3 Rewards: We concluded Season 3 on August 13th, and rewards can be claimed on September 13th! 260 users received a total of 692,394 in SEED rewards and Garden also saw $67.7 million in swap volume, bringing in 181 new users. Read more about Season 3 in one of our latest blogs.
