A Bitcoin bridge moves value between the Bitcoin blockchain and other chains. Most bridges lock your BTC with a custodian and mint a wrapped version elsewhere. Garden works differently: atomic swaps exchange native BTC for the native asset on the other chain, so no custodian holds your funds at any point.
