Ethereum shipped two major upgrades recently. Pectra that lets ordinary wallets act as smart accounts through EIP-7702 and raised the validator ceiling to 2,048 ETH, consolidating what used to be dozens of 32 ETH validators into one. Fusaka introduced PeerDAS, letting nodes verify rollup data by sampling pieces of it rather than downloading all of it, raised the block gas limit to 60 million, and added blob parameter forks that have been lifting blob capacity from 6 per block.
ETH has no fixed supply cap. New ETH is issued only as staking rewards to validators, and since EIP-1559, every transaction burns its base fee, permanently removing that ETH from supply. The two forces pull against each other, so net supply grows when the network is quiet and shrinks when it is busy. Whether ETH is inflationary in a given month is a function of how much the chain is used, not a schedule.
No. The ETH shown on other chains is a token issued by a bridge, and its value rests on that bridge holding real ETH behind it. Native ETH exists only on Ethereum mainnet.
The majority of defi value, the majority of stablecoin supply, and most tokenized real-world assets live on Ethereum, including BlackRock's tokenized treasury fund BUIDL. The large L2s, Base and Arbitrum post their transaction data back to Ethereum mainnet for settlement.
Garden uses Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs) and an intents-based solver network to enable atomic cross-chain swaps.
You receive ETH directly on Ethereum.
Either both sides of the swap complete, or your BNB is refunded to your EVM wallet.
Solvers fill your swap at the best execution path. Garden is expanding into an aggregator, filling routes it does not support natively through partners like SwapKit.
Native ETH. The ETH that arrives pays gas, stakes, and works across every Ethereum application without an unwrapping step.
Never. The BNB locks in a Hash Time-Locked Contract on BNB Chain that only the swap's two parties can act on, while a solver locks ETH on Ethereum. If the ETH is not delivered within the timelock, the contract returns your BNB on its own.
No. There is no account to create and no KYC. A wallet and the BNB in it are all the swap needs. Complying with the laws that apply to you remains your responsibility.
Within a few seconds on most swaps. BNB Chain and Ethereum both confirm fast, so this route skips the longer wait that swaps touching the Bitcoin blockchain carry.
